A York County man lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred around 6 a.m. at the intersection of Davidsburg Road and West Canal Road in Dover Township. According to a statement from Northern York County Regional Police, the motorcyclist was heading south on Davidsburg Road when a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta turned left in front of him onto West Canal Road. The Jetta driver failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle, police said. The motorcyclist, identified as 63-year-old David Swords of Pickett Rd, received immediate medical attention at the scene. He was transported to York Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
