A 61-year-old man was fatally struck by a car after he got out of his vehicle following a multi-car crash on Saturday night, authorities said.
The victim, identified as Mark Anthony Johnson, was involved in a collision on I-59 South at I-20 South in Birmingham around 11:07 p.m., according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
He was standing outside of his vehicle when another car hit him and killed him.
