Douglas Hunt, 34, killed on Loop 202 in Phoenix

On Sunday, Sept. 24, a good Samaritan lost his life while trying to help the victims of a crash on Loop 202 in Phoenix. The Arizona Department of Public Safety said that the crash was caused by a hit-and-run driver who had fled from another collision on I-17 and Durango Road. The hit-and-run driver collided with two other vehicles on Loop 202 at 32nd Street. Douglas Hunt, 34, and his friend witnessed the crash and stopped to offer assistance. However, Hunt was fatally hit by another driver as he was helping the injured. The two drivers involved in the crash were seriously injured and taken to the hospital.
