A fatal collision near 79th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road left one woman dead and two others injured on Thursday morning. The woman who died, 27-year-old Edna Villa, was a passenger in a car that turned left in front of another vehicle. The impact caused the car to wrap around a light pole. The drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police are investigating the cause of the crash and say that impairment is not suspected. Sgt. Rob Scherer said that accident reconstruction will be done by investigators to determine fault.
