Harry McCreery, 77. Killed in Beaumont truck crash

A DUI truck driver caused a deadly crash on Thursday night in Beaumont, claiming the life of Harry McCreery, 77. The collision occurred on the eastbound 10 Freeway off-ramp at Oak Valley Parkway, where Jimmy Ray Whitehead, 62, slammed into three vehicles that were waiting at a red light. The impact injured four people and sent them to nearby hospitals, where McCreery later succumbed to his injuries. The California Highway Patrol arrested Whitehead on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
