Michael Leo Gonzalez, 24, of Shafter passenger killed in fuel truck rollover

Shafter man dies in fuel truck rollover near Buttonwillow The crash occurred on Main Drain Road on Sunday afternoon BUTTONWILLOW, CA, (October 01, 2023) – A tragic accident claimed the life of a Shafter man on Sunday afternoon when the fuel truck he was riding in overturned near Buttonwillow. The victim was identified as Michael Leo Gonzalez, 24, who was the passenger in a fuel truck that crashed around 3 p.m. on Main Drain Road, just north of 7th Standard Road. Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
