A fatal collision between a truck and a Polaris RZR side-by-side left one person dead and another severely injured in Lassen County on Friday. The side-by-side driver was heading southeast on Lakecrest Road when he crossed paths with the truck driver, Jacob Beauchman, who was going southwest on Standish Buntingville Road. The impact ejected both the side-by-side driver and his passenger, Stacie Sisson, from their vehicle. The side-by-side driver died at the scene, while Sisson was airlifted to Renown Medical Center in Reno. Beauchman was unhurt, according to CHP. CHP said alcohol may have played a role in the crash, which is still under investigation.
