One man died and two others were injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred on Sept. 17 near East Platte Avenue and North Prospect Street in Colorado Springs. The Colorado Springs Police Department is investigating the cause of the accident, which may have involved speed and alcohol use.
The victim who lost his life was 22-year-old Randy Castro, who was a passenger in the vehicle. He and the other two occupants were taken to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The crash happened east of downtown, according to the police report.
