A fatal multi-car crash in Bear on Sunday afternoon claimed the life of a 65-year-old woman and injured two others, Delaware State Police reported. The woman’s identity has not been disclosed yet. She was riding in a white 2017 Toyota RAV-4 that collided with a red 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer at the intersection of Pulaski Highway (U.S. 40) and Bear Christiana Road (Route 7) around 4:17 p.m., police said. The Trailblazer, which had a red arrow, turned left from the eastbound lane of Pulaski Highway and cut off the RAV-4, which had a green light and was traveling west in the middle lane. The impact caused the RAV-4 to be hit from behind by a black 2011 Nissan Altima, which was also following the green light. The RAV-4’s driver, a 60-year-old man from Wilmington, and passenger were rushed to the hospital, where the woman succumbed to her injuries. The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
