Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The department released a heartfelt statement, urging everyone to keep Officer Caabeiro’s family, friends, and fellow officers in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. The investigation into the incident is being led by the Homestead Police.
