Allen P. Gembeck, 58, of Lee killed when struck by tractor

The victim of a fatal motorcycle crash near Shabbona on Saturday evening has been identified as Allen P. Gembeck, 58, of Locust Rd in Lee. According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Gembeck was riding his motorcycle west on Comanche Avenue when he collided with a John Deere tractor that ran a stop sign at Indian Road. The tractor, driven by Matthew R. Reynolds, 35, of Rutland, was carrying grain and did not stop after the crash, apparently unaware of the incident.
