Braeden Depew killed in Montpelier Indiana work accident

A tree-trimming service worker from Kokomo died on Saturday after a log fell on him in Montpelier. The worker was 18-year-old Braeden Depew, who was working on the west side of the town when the accident happened. Blackford County Coroner Zach Crouch said a log rolled out of a dump trailer and hit Depew in the upper body, causing fatal blunt force trauma. The accident was reported around 10:10 a.m. and investigated by the coroner, Deputy Coroner Adam Solga, and Montpelier police.
