A contractor lost his life in an accident at a Flex-N-Gate plant near Covington, Ind. on Monday. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to an emergency call at the facility and found the man dead on the scene. The Coroner’s Office confirmed the death at 2:27 p.m. The victim was identified as Daniel Laird, 44, by Warren County Coroner Justin Brummett. The cause of death is still under investigation, pending autopsy and toxicology results. A forensic autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
