Luis Alberto Orozco Gonzalez, 38, killed in work accident

The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the construction worker who died in a downtown Indianapolis accident on Saturday morning as Luis Alberto Orozco Gonzalez, 38. He was working on a project to remove a section of the old people mover tracks along Senate Avenue at IU Health Methodist Hospital when a piece of the track fell on him, the hospital system said. The accident happened at the intersection of West 16th Street and North Senate Avenue around 5 a.m., and police arrived shortly after.
