Angelo V. Turner, 51, of Kansas killed in crash with semi

A fatal crash involving a semi and an SUV occurred in Coffey County on Wednesday evening.

Angelo V. Turner, 51, of Eureka, was driving a 2010 Ford Expedition southbound on U.S. 75, just south of Interstate 35. He collided with the fifth axle of a 2009 Kenworth semi that was exiting a truck stop and trying to go northbound on U.S. 75.

The semi driver, Johnnie L. Snodgrass, 67, of Mound City, was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Turner died at the scene and was taken to Frontier Forensics.
