A vehicle fatally hit a woman who was crossing Lexington Road on Tuesday morning, the coroner confirmed. The woman was Kusum Nahata, a 74-year-old resident of Innisbrook Drive Prospect. She was crossing Lexington from Penwood Road, near Sacred Heart Academy in Crescent Hill. She was rushed to UofL Hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival. The coroner ruled her death as an accident caused by blunt force injuries.
