Timothy McKellar 22 and Connor Quisenberry 18 in fatal plane crash

A severe thunderstorm in Kentucky claimed the lives of a student pilot and their instructor on Wednesday night. They were flying a single-engine Piper PA-28 from Bowling Green to Owensboro when they lost contact with the Evansville Airport Control Tower in Indiana, according to Ohio County Sheriff Adam Wright. The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that the plane crashed near Whitesville, about 95 miles southwest of Louisville. Despite a search by air and on foot, the officials could not find the victims alive. Ohio County Coroner Elvis Doolin identified them as Timothy A. McKellar Jr., 22, of Custer, and Connor W. Quisenberry, 18, of Beaver Dam.
