Two people lost their lives in a devastating head-on crash on Saturday, September 16, 2023.
The fatal collision happened around 6 p.m. on Nicholson Drive, just south of Bluebonnet Boulevard.
The victims were identified by Louisiana State Police as Stefan Valentine, 34, of Baton Rouge, and Claudette Holmes, 45, of Carville.
Valentine was driving a Toyota 4-Runner southbound when he suddenly crossed into the opposite lane.
He crashed into Holmes’ Mazda CX5, killing both of them on the spot.
A passenger in the Mazda was also injured and taken to the hospital.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
