10-year-old girl struck and killed by truck in Albion MI

On Wednesday morning, a truck hit a 10-year-old girl who was waiting for her school bus on 27 Mile Road near Westover Boulevard in Albion, MI. The girl, who is a student at Marshall Public Schools, received immediate medical attention from first responders and was taken to the hospital. The truck driver, a 33-year-old Albion man, is cooperating with the police. The investigation is still ongoing.

The incident prompted Albion Public Safety officers and Marshall Public Schools to remind parents and children about bus and road safety. They advised children to stay at least 10 feet away from the road and to be alert of their surroundings.
