Justin Eller, 47, from Esko killed in motorcycle crash

A car and a motorcycle crashed at a Mahtowa Township intersection on Wednesday evening, killing the motorcyclist and injuring the car driver. The Carlton County Sheriff’s office identified the deceased as Justin Eller, 47, from Esko. He was not wearing a helmet when his motorcycle hit a car that was turning south onto County Road 61 from County Road 4. The car driver, Nicholas Berglund, 51, from Bruno, MN, suffered minor injuries and was treated on the scene by EMS. The crash happened around 9:10 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13th. Several agencies assisted the Carlton County Sheriff’s Deputies in responding to the crash, including the Minnesota State Patrol, Life Link III, and the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
