Rose Carter, 67, killed in head-on crash on Missouri Hwy 28

A head-on collision on Missouri Hwy 28 in Dixon claimed the life of Rose Carter, a 67-year-old woman from the same town. She was driving a 2020 Kia Soul westbound when Lucas Gann, a 40-year-old man from St. Robert, veered into her lane from the opposite direction in a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado. The Pulaski County Coroner pronounced Carter dead at the scene at 8:38 a.m. Her body was taken to Waynesville Memorial Chapel and her family was notified. Gann suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to University Hospital in Columbia. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
