Marvin W. Worthington, 68, of Atlantic City killed in NJ crash

A red-light runner caused a fatal crash in Berlin on Friday night, officials said. Marvin W. Worthington, 68, of Atlantic City, died from his injuries on Saturday after his vehicle was hit by Patricia A. Avellino at the intersection of Route 73 and Cross Keys Road. Avellino, 57, was driving northbound on Cross Keys Road and ignored the red light as she entered Route 73, where Worthington was traveling southbound. The impact of the collision sent Worthington’s vehicle into the concrete median, police said. The Berlin Police Department and Camden County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the incident and have not announced any charges as of Wednesday morning
