A tragic collision between two vehicles on Pemberton Bypass in Pemberton Township resulted in the death of two people and the injury of one more on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Pemberton Township Police Department. The accident occurred around 12:30 p.m. when a Mercedes Benz that was traveling eastbound on Pemberton Bypass veered off the road, hit the guard rail, and then re-entered the road, crossing the center line and crashing into a Nissan Altima that was heading westbound. The passenger of the Mercedes, 51-year-old Patrick Stout, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The driver of the Mercedes also succumbed to their injuries and died at the spot. The driver of the Nissan, a 45-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was flown to Cooper University Hospital for treatment.
