Renan Perez, 59, of Linden killed in dump truck crash

Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone announced that a dump truck fatally hit a pickup truck driver who was turning into a gas station on Route 9. The accident happened on Thursday around 5:16 a.m., near an Exxon station in Parlin. A 2020 Kenworth dump truck slammed into the passenger side door of a 2000 Ford Ranger, which was making a right turn into the station. The Ford driver, Renan Perez, 59, of Linden, was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
