William Richardson, 18, of Bedminster NJ killed by car

A Flemington man fatally struck an 18-year-old pedestrian on Route 202 in Bedminster Township on Saturday night, police said. The driver, 35, was heading west on Main Street in a 2017 Nissan Maxima when he veered across the double yellow line and onto the sidewalk, where he hit William Richardson of Bedminster, according to Bedminster Police Lt. Thomas Polito. Richardson died at the scene and was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Somerville, where he was pronounced dead, Polito said. The crash occurred around 6:10 p.m. near Elm Street.
