A young motorcyclist lost his life in a tragic collision with two other vehicles on Thursday evening. The accident occurred around 5:17 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 12 and Hinman Road in Trenton, New York. According to State Police, 61-year-old Roberta J. Shields of Remsen was turning left onto Hinman Road from State Route 12 when she failed to see a 2013 Yamaha motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. The motorcycle, driven by 22-year-old Jaylen J. Charron of Herkimer, crashed into Shields’ car, causing it to spin and hit a pickup truck that was waiting at the intersection. Charron was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
