An alleged drunk driver caused a fatal crash that killed Joe Stubblefield, 52, of Cortlandt Manor and injured a 7-year-old child on Saturday night in Philipstown. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office reported that the driver, 56, crossed the center line on U.S. Route 9 and hit Stubblefield’s southbound vehicle head-on around 9:45 p.m. Stubblefield died at the scene, while the child in the backseat was taken to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter, driving while intoxicated, and failure to use the designated lane
