Keith C. Wagner, 54, Rochester / Vail killed in head-on crash

A fatal three-car crash claimed the life of a Rochester NY / Vail CO man and left another driver seriously injured in Newstead, Erie County. According to New York State Police, the crash occurred on Saturday morning on State Route 5. A Kia that was heading east on Route 5 stopped to turn into a driveway and was rear-ended by a Chevrolet. The impact pushed the Kia into the opposite lane, where it collided with another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle, 54-year-old Keith C. Wagner, died at the scene. The 18-year-old driver of the Kia was airlifted to ECMC with severe injuries. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
