A tragic accident involving a tractor-trailer and a car took place on East Main Street in Lima on October 17, 2023. Four people were injured and one of them, Lloyd Kelly, 69, of Canandaigua, succumbed to his injuries later at the hospital. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office reported that the tractor-trailer was exiting a business parking lot when the trailer detached from the truck and rolled onto the road, blocking the eastbound traffic. A car traveling westbound crashed into the trailer around 5:30 a.m. The four occupants of the car were rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
