A 32-year-old woman from Hempstead, Mariah Giabiconi, lost her life in a motorcycle accident in Garden City last Friday, according to police. She was riding a Suzuki motorcycle on Franklin Avenue when she crashed into a Ford van. The driver of the van, a 69-year-old man, was injured and stayed at the scene. Two women, aged 57 and 87, who were passengers in the van, suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital. The cause of the collision is under investigation by the police.
