Michael Blackburn, 41, Locust Ln, killed by truck

A pedestrian was killed by a box truck in Halfmoon on Sunday morning. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene of the fatal crash on Route 9 near Sitterly Road. They found that a 2023 Ford Econoline box truck, driven by Juan C. Mazariego, 41, of Saugerties, had hit a pedestrian who was walking on the road. The pedestrian, Michael J. Blackburn, 41, of 17 Locust Lane, was taken to Samaritan Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Mazariego was not hurt in the crash.
