Kim Banzhof, a 61-year-old employee of Rocking Horse Community Health Center, lost her life after a speeding SUV hit her on Tuesday morning. She was walking near her home on the 100 block of East Euclid Avenue in Springfield, when a white Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Chelsea Lemaster struck her as she crossed the street. Lemaster, who lives on the same street, was going 42 mph in a 25 mph zone and did not suffer any injuries. Banzhof was rushed to Springfield Regional Medical Center and then airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, where she succumbed to her injuries. Her friends, family and co-workers mourned her death.
