A tragic accident claimed the life of a 15-year-old student on Wednesday morning. Samantha Kalkbrenner, a student at Serra Catholic High School, was killed when the school van she was riding in collided with a car on Richland Avenue in Dravosburg, PA. The drivers of both vehicles were critically injured and rushed to the hospital, along with three other students who suffered minor injuries. According to the county police, the school van was making a left turn when it was hit by a northbound Volkswagon Jetta GTI. The Homicide and Collision Reconstruction units are investigating the cause of the crash.
