18-yr-old killed after Harrisburg police crashes into car

A Harrisburg police car crashed into another vehicle early this morning, killing a passenger.

The accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Holly Street and 19th Street, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The police car was on its way to help another officer when it collided with a white Mercury Sable. An 18-year-old who was sitting in the front seat of the Sable died at the scene. Two other passengers, aged 18 and 19, suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital. The driver of the Sable fled on foot and was last seen heading east on Holly Street.

Police are looking for the driver and asking anyone with information to contact them.
