Carol Gaston 57 of Martins Mill killed in Philadelphia accident

A hit-and-run driver killed a pedestrian who was crossing the street on Friday morning, police said. The victim, 57-year-old Carol Gascon, was walking in the intersection of Frankford Avenue and Red Lion Road around 6:30 a.m. when a silver Nissan Maxima or Altima ran a red light and hit him, according to police. The driver did not stop and continued southbound on Frankford Avenue, police said. Gascon was rushed to the hospital, where he died from his injuries at 11:01 a.m.
