The incident happened on Dogwood Dr. around 2:43 p.m. on Oct. 31, when a blue 2012 Subaru Impreza struck a pedestrian, according to a press release from Pennsylvania State Police. The pedestrian, identified as 61-year-old Christine Stewart, suffered severe head injuries and lost consciousness at the scene. She was transported to Hershey Medical Center, where she succumbed to her wounds. The driver of the car, an 85-year-old Hershey resident whose name has not been released, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
