Edward Hendricks, 40, of Danville killed in motorcycle crash

A Danville man lost his life in a motorcycle crash on Wednesday afternoon in Upper Augusta Township. Edward Hendricks, 40, was riding his motorcycle east on Mile Hill Road when he collided with a vehicle that turned left in front of him. The vehicle, driven by Kathryn R. Fedder, 18, of Sunbury, was heading west on Mile Hill Road and attempted to turn onto Cold Run Road. Hendricks was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was flown to Geisinger Medical Center, in Danville, where he was pronounced dead. Fedder and her 17-year-old passenger were not hurt in the accident. State police at Stonington are investigating the crash.
