Edwin Santiago-Collazo 37 killed in PA motorcycle crash

A Mount Penn man, Edwin Santiago-Collazo, died in a motorcycle crash on Friday night in Reading. He was 37 years old.

The accident occurred around 10 p.m. on Hamden Boulevard, near the 1300 block. Santiago-Collazo was riding his motorcycle when he hit an SUV and was ejected from his seat.

He suffered severe injuries to his chest and internal organs. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Joseph Pothering at 11:47 p.m.

The coroner’s office said that the cause of death was blunt force trauma of the torso. No further details about the crash were available at the time of this report.
