John Michael Woodburn, 22, Bethlehem, killed in crash

A man from Bethlehem died in a three-vehicle crash near the Route 22/Route 33 interchange on Thursday morning, authorities said. The victim was identified as John Michael Woodburn, 22, who suffered multiple blunt force trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Northampton County Coroner’s Office ruled his death an accident.

The crash happened around 10:41 a.m. when a red Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 58-year-old man from Summit Hill, exited the ramp from Route 22 East to Route 33 North in the wrong direction. The red Silverado collided with Woodburn’s Honda Civic and a black Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 76-year-old man from Wind Gap. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the incident.
