Karen Schlagel, 64, Portersville PA injured in car crash

A Center Township crash sent one person to the hospital on Saturday afternoon. The collision occurred at the Route 8 and Mahood Road intersection around 3:15 p.m. According to police, Skyler Geibel, 18, of Portersville failed to yield the right of way when she attempted a left turn. She struck the side bumper of a southbound vehicle on Route 8. Karen Schlagel, 64, also of Portersville, was a passenger in Geibel’s car. She sustained a head and neck injury and was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital
