Marion Holmes, 18, killed in fatal Mercury Sable crash

A fatal crash involving a Harrisburg police SUV took place early Tuesday morning. The accident happened around 12:30 a.m. at the corner of Holly St. and 19th St. A city police vehicle was on its way to assist another officer when it collided with a 2000 white Mercury Sable. Pennsylvania State Police reported the incident.

The Sable had four occupants, one of whom died. She was Marion Holmes, an 18-year-old girl. The other two passengers, aged 18 and 19, suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Sable, however, escaped from the scene. He was last seen heading east on Holly St. The police are asking anyone with information on the driver to contact them.
