A Bethlehem woman, 72, died after a speeding car hit her SUV as she was leaving a driveway in Franconia Township, Montgomery County, on Thursday evening. Police said Paula Ann Wilson of Knollwood Rd had her 7-year-old granddaughter with her in the Ford Explorer when the collision occurred around 5:45 p.m. in the 500 block of Mininger Road. The driver of the car, a 20-year-old Hatfield man, escaped from his Dodge Challenger, which caught fire briefly. Wilson was taken to Grand View Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
