A vehicle hit and killed a Summerville woman who was walking on North Maple Street late at night on Sept. 13. The victim was 55-year-old Sorel D. Mazyck, according to the Dorchester County Coroner’s Office. She died at the scene around 1 a.m. on Sept. 14. The driver, Robert Ferebee, fled the scene and faces charges of hit and run and causing death by reckless driving, the Summerville Police Department said.
