Mary Wheeler, 56, killed in Clarksville TN crash

A head-on collision in Whites Creek on Thursday claimed the life of a Clarksville woman and left another driver in critical condition. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department identified the deceased as Mary Wheeler, 56, who was driving a Saturn Aura sedan northbound on Clarksville Pike. A Toyota Camry, driven by John McGee, 39, of Clarksville, crossed the double yellow line and crashed into Wheeler’s car. McGee was hospitalized with serious injuries. Police said both drivers were sober and wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
