A deadly crash involving multiple vehicles took place on Monday night in Fort Worth, Texas. The Texas Department of Public Safety said that the incident happened on the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 West.
The crash started with a minor collision between two vehicles. A truck that stopped to assist them was then struck by an 18-wheeler. Another 18-wheeler also hit the two vehicles.
Four people died from their injuries at the scene. They were identified as Susana Longoria, 31, Chase Mapes, 25, Kiara Barker, 23, and Jasmine Jones, 21.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. Officials have not confirmed if alcohol or drugs were involved. No further information has been released at this time.
