Jeffery and Donna Sebastian killed in Roanoke crash

A DUI crash claimed the lives of two people in Roanoke County on Tuesday morning. Police say Kiara Tes, 22, of Elliston was driving a 1997 Ford Explorer eastbound on West Main Street when she hit a 2007 Ford Focus at the 5900 block. The driver and front passenger of the Focus, Donna Sebastian, 62, and Jeffery Sebastian, 58, of North Wilkesboro, NC, were not wearing seat belts and died at the scene. Tes, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital. She has been charged with driving under the influence. The road was closed for several hours after the crash, but has been reopened. Speed and weather conditions were not factors in the crash, according to police.
