Timothy J Korman, 71, of Midlothian struck and killed by truck

A 71-year-old man died on Saturday evening after being hit by his own vehicle on I-81 NB in Rockbridge, Virginia. Police said that Timothy James Korman of Midlothian had parked his 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe illegally on the right shoulder of the roadway, two miles south of Raphine Road. He was outside the Tahoe when a tractor trailer crashed into it, causing it to strike him fatally. Korman was pronounced dead at the scene. The Virginia State Police Crash Reconstruction Team and the Motor Carrier Team assisted with the investigation.
