Savannah Adkins, 28, of Buffalo Creek killed in WV accident

A car hit and killed a woman who was walking on a road in Leon, West Virginia on Saturday night, the West Virginia State Police said.

The woman was identified as Savannah Adkins, 28, of Huntington. She was walking near the intersection of Charleston Road and Burdette Road around 11:00 p.m. when the car struck her, according to a press release from the troopers.

The troopers said that the driver of the car was not using their cell phone or under the influence of any substance when the accident happened.
