A fatal crash involving a pickup truck and a tree led to the arrest of a driver on DUI charges in Sissonville, WV, on Saturday night. According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, Ryan Jones, 27, was driving the truck when he veered off the road and hit a tree around 11:00 p.m. He and his passenger, Dustin Myers, 26, were trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency crews. They were both taken to CAMC General Hospital, where Myers later died from his injuries. Corporal S.M. Adams of the Sheriff’s Office reported smelling alcohol on Jones and observed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests. Jones now faces a felony charge of DUI causing death.
